Welcome to June! As we look back at May, we're excited to share some fantastic updates from our matching app. Our team worked hard last month to enhance your matchmaking, networking, and mentoring experience. Let’s dive into the latest features and improvements together!


Some Location Fields Now Made Optional in Request Profile Updates!

A new enhancement to the Profile Update Requests feature in SmartMatchApp has just been released! You can now select which location fields are non-required, giving your users more flexibility when updating their profiles.

Previously, agency users and their networks are faced with the inability to select certain location fields as non-mandatory fields. This particularly affects those who don’t have a unit or an apartment number in their address, not being able to skip these fields without entering any information.

With this update, only the City and Country fields are required by default when Location is selected as required fields, and the other location fields such as Unit or Apartment number and Street Address are optional fields when requesting profile updates, streamlining the process and making it more user-friendly.

Here's a quick summary of the changes:

  • More location fields are now optional in the Request Profile Update form.
  • Users have the flexibility to decide which location fields to fill out when updating their profiles.

We believe this enhancement will improve the user experience and make profile updates more convenient for everyone.


Auto-Update Age Preferences

We're delighted to announce a fantastic new enhancement to automation in our platform that will revolutionize the way age preferences are managed: automatic age preference updates based on the passage of time!

Here's how it works: Now, when you set age preferences for your clients, SmartMatchApp will automatically adjust these preferences as the year progresses by setting automation. This means that you no longer have to manually update age ranges for your clients – our system will do it for you, ensuring that your matches remain accurate and up-to-date.

This feature not only saves you time and effort but also ensures that your clients receive the most relevant matches possible, keeping them engaged and satisfied with your matchmaking service.


Enhancements to SmartMatchApp Automations

Because SmartMatchApp listens to all of their beloved clients’ feedback, a few enhancements have been added to our Automations to allow a more efficient workflow without the need for manual work.

Let’s see the breakdown of these added enhancements!

Ability to create an automation to allow to change a client’s custom profile fields, including match preferences, location, and even update types and lists in a client's profile.
This allows agency users to set automation to update a client’s profile with any kind of trigger. This action called Change Client Profile can update a client’s custom profile fields, match preferences, location, types, and even lists – just like how a bulk edit works.


Ability to allow auto-sending of introductions, not just through emails, but also via text messages for those who have the Twilio add-on activated. Aside from being able to send mutual introductions via email, agency users can now also choose to send mutual introductions via text by choosing the action Send Mutual Intro Text.


Ability to control the number of matches moved from Suggestons to matches after the "Search Suggestions for Client" action is performed. Currently, the Limit feature does not function properly because if someone is a match for multiple people, they receive an unlimited number of matches. To address this, we’ve fixed this setting to allow agencies to limit the number of matches to 1, 2, 3, or any specified maximum. This lets agencies control how many matches and introductions are sent to each client daily.

Presets Improvement

We're excited to announce new enhancements to the SmartMatchApp! These improvements bring more flexibility and control to agency users, making your experience even better.

Arrange Presets Group Order: You can now easily organize the order of your preset groups. This allows for a more streamlined workflow, ensuring your most important presets are always at your fingertips. Simply drag and drop the groups of presets in any order you prefer.

Create Multiple Presets for Different Functions: Agency users can now create and manage multiple presets tailored to various functionalities such as Introductions, Request Profile Updates, and more. This customization ensures that each preset meets the specific needs of different tasks. With the added capability to use a single preset group for multiple functions, agency users can maximize efficiency by reusing presets across different activities without recreating them each time.

Select a Default Search Preset Group Easily: Agency users can now select a group of presets directly from the Presets section to use as their Default Search Fields. Simply select Search in the field called Use In and you’re all set!
