DevOps Engineer

About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role involves working with a variety of infrastructure technologies, managing cloud and on-premises environments, and ensuring the smooth operation of our development and production systems.

You will work closely with the engineering team to support infrastructure automation, deployment processes, and system monitoring. While AWS experience is a plus, most work will focus on on-premises solutions and open-source technologies.

 
Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and optimize Proxmox virtualization environments.
• Manage and maintain servers running Ubuntu OS.
• Deploy, configure, and monitor services such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Nginx.
• Support and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Manage configuration management systems, primarily CINC and Chef.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Implement security best practices across infrastructure and services.
• Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) system administration.
• Experience with Proxmox setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS – minimal experience required).
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Experience managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Nginx in production environments.
• Knowledge of CINC or Chef for configuration management.
• Understanding of networking, firewalls, and security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring tools and log management systems.
• Ability to script in Bash, Python, or similar languages.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning.
• Familiarity with SSL/TLS and certificate management.

Location: Remote 

Working hours: Flexible schedule, with availability for urgent support when needed
